Elisabeth Stam, MSW, MS, is an Investigator at the HealthiER Institute.

Elisabeth Stam is a PhD candidate in the Gerontology Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences, where she is a member of the Sigma Phi Omega Honor Society. Elisabeth’s doctoral research focuses on the dental and oral health of older adults, biopsychosocial aspects of older adulthood, and geriatric medicine. A licensed master social worker in New York and Massachusetts, she earned her MSW from Columbia University, her MS in Gerontology from UMass Boston, and her BA from Barnard College. Elisabeth was awarded the American Society on Aging’s 2023 Graduate Student Research Award for her research on the oral health disparities of older adults in the United States. She was also honored with a New York State Assembly 2023 Woman of Distinction Award for her work as a gerontology researcher and social worker to improving the well-being of older New Yorkers.
